The votes are in, lots of great entries and votes from yesterday’s Inaugural Broadcasting Brain Twitter Word Association Contest.

As you recall, I asked the contestants to name the first word that came to mind when they saw the word “cheap”.

The winning word was…

(wait for it)

WAL-MART!

Congratulations to Remarkablogger Michael Martine and social media enthusiast Jeff Flowers (aka Bukowsky) on their winning entries!  Your prizes are in this paragraph.

Other popular entries included “shot”, “trick”, “Target” (sorry Mimzie), and “skate”.

However, the judge’s choice award goes to James Chartrand of Men With Pens for his witty response that virtually no one else would have imagined.

I asked my Twitter followers to give me the first word that came to mind when I said “cheap”.  A bunch of them did.  So, now here’s the contest:  please look them over and decide which ones were the most clever and the funniest.

(2) Leave a comment on this post so I know that you’ve entered.
(3) Wait for the results!

I will pick one winner at random from all entries. Minimum prize is 400 EC (will likely be more!)

This is going to be a very simple contest. I’m giving away one prize of 250 Entrecard credits to the lucky winner!

All you need to do is leave a comment on this blog entry to enter the contest. Make sure you include your name and website. The comment system also requires you to leave an E-Mail address, which isn’t displayed publicly.

Contest ends on Dec. 21 at midnight Eastern Standard Time. One winner will be picked at random from all entries! I will contact the lucky winner at some point on Dec. 22 and arrange the points transfer.
