Ten people I wish I could connect with in social media
social media May 29th. 2008, 5:30amNothing fancy here, just a simple list:
Andy Partridge (musician of the band XTC)
John Cusack (the brilliant cool actor guy)
Seth Godin (I’d pick his brain)
Al Gore (ditto)
David Suzuki (same)
Geoff Johns, Mark Waid, Grant Morrison (comic book writers, all)
George R. R. Martin (novelist - author of A Song of Ice and Fire series, among others)
Stephen King (novelist)
How about you?
EDIT: May 30/08 - of course, it would be pretty cool to meet them in person, too!

Some interesting choices there, and a thought provoking idea in general.
What’s interesting about social media in general is that it has the potential to allow us these links. But it’s dependent on it extending more effectively beyond the early adopter market in general and into the mainstream. Whether that’ll be practical and sustainable is perhaps more debatable…
I’d also like to engage with George RR Martin if only to pester him to finish the next bloody instalment. It’s what…11 years since I read book 1 and we’re still waiting for Book 4 Part 2?
