Well it's safe to say that this here blog has been on quite an 'Amazing journey' over the past few months and become a deserved 'Success story'. It's certainly had occasion to bring 'Eyesight to the Blind' to this man 'Behind blue eyes'. Which leaves just one question, 'A quick one' regarding the "Catch the Brainwaves" strand. Just 'Who's Next'? ;)

@Nick - it's usually good to invoke Chairman Townshend so we won't get fooled again. And, of course, 'who are you' is the question that's often asked of people of my generation (and countless others), so that's what "Catch The Brainwaves" tries to answer through ten questions. It's good to know that the kids are alright (meaning everyone who participates in this series) and, with Pete's insight, I feel like I can see for miles (which should be good enough to find the next "Catch The Brainwaves" victim.)

Great interview, as per, Mark. And some great insight from one so young (Hope that doesn't sound too patronising). Kudos for incorporating the legendary Pete Townshend into your questioning :)

@reddknight - Trisha's done quite a lot of writing and has been interviewed before, so her age is no secret. However, I really didn't want to make a big deal out of it - I figured that she might be tired of talking about it. At the same time, though, question 8 kind of forced her age to be front and center, although I tried to put a slightly different spin on the question.

It's easy to pick on the US as being internally-focused because a lot of their media assumes that you know that they're talking about places and situations in the US. However, other countries also do that; they just don't have the same global exposure as the US. The challenge with the US, though, is that they tend to draw attention due to their business, political, and entertainment industry clout. Plus they invented Lindsay, Britney, Jessica, and Paris... On the other hand, they invented a large number of quite cool people, too.

And yes, I can say "they" because I'm Canadian. :)

When I got to her age (I thought she was older) I saw the interview in a different light. What might have been tired or cliche coming from an older person was refreshingly thoughtful for a younger person. Patricia seems to have a nice mix of worldly wisdom and youthful optimism.

I tend to challenge the "we’re not the world, we just haven’t realized it yet" statement. I have lived and worked in an internationally-focused environment for many years. Yes, we still have people in the US with antiquated worldviews, but I have found that this is just as true in many other countries.
