Different thoughts about thinking differently
1-800-SOCIAL-MEDIA-HELPLINE

Forget Wikipedia, Answers.com, or whatever brainchild resource that’s out there today. Shun the toll free customer service number.

If you want an answer about something, use social media to tap into a powerful knowledge-base: your network.

This weekend I had a question about using Google Analytics, so I posted that question on Twitter. Granted, it was a novice’s question and not that hard to solve, but I had been using a manual solution that was a real pain in the bottom.

The cool thing was that over ten people responded to my question within a couple of minutes! On Sunday morning! It was amazing!

Do you get that kind of response time by calling a 1-800 number? I think not!

So tell me, what kinds of important questions have you had answered quickly (and accurately) using social media?
